Module 1 – Afro Flow Yoga® Sequencing

15 contact hours –   Weekend Intensive

Prerequisites: Foundations

This workshop is open to teachers-in-training and for students who are interested in deepening their practice.

  • You will enjoy the full experience of 2 Afro Flow Yoga® classes
  • You will learn and unpack the structure of an AFY class with the focus on segments 1 – 4
  • Learn to create a sacred space through pranayama, meditation and energy clearing
  • Integrate the chakras & Afro Flow Yoga® energy flow
  • Review the anatomy of yoga & the interconnection to nature
  • Learn vinyasa flow sequencing & alignment as it relates to AFY
  • Enjoy peer-to-peer learning
  • Learn gentle hands on adjustments & assisting
  • Take time for journaling and reflection

Module 2 – Afro Flow Yoga® Dance Techniques & Musicality

15 contact hours – Weekend Intensive

Prerequisites: Foundations and Module 1

This workshop is open to teachers-in-training and for students who are interested in deepening their practice.

  • Learn Afro Flow Yoga® Segments 5, 6 & 7
  • Afro Flow Yoga® Dance Movements, Sequencing, Flow & Rhythms
  • Explore dance through connection to nature, yoga and community
  • Embody the stories and dances of the African Diaspora
  • Learn to create the sacred circle and a non judgmental environment
  • Take time for journaling and reflection
  • Enjoy peer-to-peer learning
  • Learn gentle hands on adjustments & assisting

  • Learn to create a sacred space through breath work and meditation
  • Integrate the chakras & Afro Flow Yoga® energy flow
  • Learn the interconnection of nature to anatomy, physiology and alignment
  • Afro Flow Yoga® dance movements, sequencing, flow & rhythms
  • Explore dance through connection to nature, yoga and community
  • Embody the stories and dances of the African Diaspora
  • Learn to create a sacred circle through ritual creating a non judgmental environment
  • Take time for journaling and reflection
  • Enjoy peer-to-peer learning
  • Learn gentle hands on adjustments & assisting

Prerequisites – Completion of Modules 1 and 2 and teacher training prerequisites
